Invest in Austrian Property


Before you consider buying any property investment in Austria, it would be important if you would be aware that the country has comparatively higher overall costs. Austrian investment property market is naturally much more expensive compared to other real estate markets in Europe or other continents. This could be attributed to the fact that cost of living here is generally higher than in any other European nation at the moment. If you are looking for a discount property at below market value, Austria could not be the place you should be.
Foreign nationals have a long history of investing in Austrian investment properties. Others might argue that tax rates imposed in Austria are also very high. The least tax imposition could be high at about 34%. Several exceptions are established. First, investment properties bought as a primary residence are exempted from taxes. Second, properties that are held for at least ten years are tax exempt. That is why most property buyers intend to hold such assets for at least a decade before disposing them. These and the higher cost of living serve as setbacks to many property investors but are not detriment to a significant number of other investors.
